Lily, our three-year-old Amur leopard recently left the park for a new home in Belgium. Lily was one of three cubs born here in 2004 to our breeding pair, Gonam and Cleo. The two other cubs from the litter were transfered to Paradise park in Kent earlier this year. Lily has now settled in well with her new companion at Aywaille Zoo and mum and dad can now retire in piece, without roudy teenagers to worry about!

Our second 'Get Me Out Of Here' weekend went off with a blast at the end of August with five teams competing and surviving the ordeals of deepest, darkest Lemur Wood. Over the three-day period, several events were laid on, which included eating some rather nasty 'food items', racing around courses to collect plastic ducks and being gunged! All of the 'suffering' was all for good causes with money being raised for several local charities and for conservation trips for our keeping staff.

Common marmoset twins were born to our free-ranging group in early September. Ths takes the group size up to five. The common marmosets can be found in the middle of the park near the cheetah pen but they do sometime wonder a little further afield in search of ripe berries to supplement their diet of fruit and insects.
